$2 Thursdays Bring Joy to the Hearts of Man and Woman

March 29th, 2006 · No Comments

Tucker T. Fuddrucker reporting on $2 Thursdays.

$2 Thursdays debuted in March at The Royal Palace Theatre 165 N. Main in Spanish Fork and will shine on.

2nd Thursday and of each month
Classic Country Night

The Country Squires, as they were called with forthwith fabrication, (Carl, Sam, Merlin, Mark) really made the Classic Country Night swing with picks, sticks, and strings. Several players and singers sat in with the band and colored the music favorably. Gene Autry to Chris Ledoux, Hank Williams to Merle Haggard, it was a classy, country, showcase. Among many highlights, the Shepherd brothers, Shirl (64) and R.L. (74) along with their sons Merlin (39) and J.D. (26) sang Cold Cold Heart.
Need I say more?.?.?.

3rd Thursday and of each month
Classic Rock Night

Many thanks indeed to The Peoples Front of Provo (Mark, Bruce, Frank, R.B.) for hosting the Classic Rock Night. Kicking it off with funk 49, they put on a bang up show. This was a very lively night for all. The most played band of the night was surprisingly Pink Floyd.
Soon to join in the fun, Free Beer (Bill, Blake, John, Shane) had a nice repertory of Classic Rock. They have good, multiple, singers too. Tony Chavez joined the Peoples Front, playing killer guitar and singing some Skynyrd. His slide stylings were very keen to none other than Free Bird. Tons of fun and fulfilling Rock ‘n’ Roll!

4th Thursday and of each month
Jazz Night

Kirileeeeenko to the hoop. I’m sorrei. This is Jazz in Utah not Utah Jazz.
Right!
The comely, Carrie Scott cast a keen, concoction of cool, vocal, jazz as the continuously, cognizant, crooners covered everything from Coltrane to Krupa.
Right.
This started out as a harmless jazz review but now it’s just got silly.
Very silly indeed.
Right!
Sincerely the entire host band was really on time! I guess that’s what you can hope from a life passion of Jazz music. Anyone interested in really learning how to play Jazz should go see Carrie at a Jazz gig. The whole band was inconceivable.

Come join in the fun…
